Moldova is an inseparable part of Holy Russia

Says Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow

On August 21, 2010, at the monks monastery of Solovki (on the island of Solovki in the White Sea - translator’s note), took place a planned meeting between His Holiness, Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow with the Hierarchs of the Metropolitanate of Chisinau and all Moldova [which is under the Russian synod].

At the meeting, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova participated along with the President of external affairs of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Ilarion of Volokolamsk, Bishops Sava of Tiraspol and Dubăsari, Anatoly of Cahul and Comrat, Peter of Hâncu, and Marcel of Bălţi and Făleşti.

I am very happy that your Eminence, along with your Bishops, are here, on this sacred land - said His Holiness the senior Pastor of the Russian Orthodox Church, as he welcomed Chisinau’s Metropolitan Vladimir.  We are sometimes asked: “why do you ascribe Moldova to Holy Russia, because Moldovans speak another language, a non-slavic one?”  And I respond that: “Holy Russia is a notion that is neither ethnic, political or linguistic, but a spiritual notion”.

“When we pray together with our brothers and sisters in Moldova we feel no difference - in front of God we are a single people - said the Patriarch.  “This communion of values, a communion of spiritual orientation, is greater than any political boundary; and the political parties which threaten to split us apart are not capable to destroy this unity.  The sooner they understand this the less resources they will waste in vain.”

Today we pray for Moldova, for the blossoming of the Moldovan people, so that the political orientation of Moldova continue to contribute to maintaining the unity of Holy Russia” said His Holiness Kyrill, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, in closing.

  1. Administrator Says:

The Russian Patriarch is more interested in the political future of Moldova as a part of Russia than he is with Moldovan souls. This is terrible in that the Moldovan hierarchs, starting with Metropolitan Vladimir, are under his obedience.

The Russian Patriarch throws words around in a haphazard way, and makes nonsense out of the idea of the independent local Church, which is the base of Orthodox administrative structures. Of course, when local Churches serve together there exists a more important unity in spirit, even when there is no administrative unity. One has nothing to do with the other. When the clergy of the Russian, Romanian, Greek, Bulgarian, etc., Churches serve together, we can speak of spiritual unity which surpasses the existing differences between them, be they administrative or linguistic, ethnic, political, etc.

The Russian Patriarch gives no justification for why the Moldovan church should be under a foreign ethnic, linguistic and cultural group other than to say that this would further protect Holy Russia! What about Holy Romania, Holy America! If we push the logic presented here, even the Greeks should go under Moscow obedience! Ridiculous!

  2. Administrator Says:

Degeaba credeti ca isi tin trupele in Transnistria ?

Cand vom vorbi despre Sfanta Romanie?

Putina istorie…
Biserica Romana si-a proclamat autocefalia in 1872(in fapt Statul laic a proclamat-o si de atunci dateaza subordonarea totala a acestei biserici fata de statul laic). Abea in 1885 a recunoscut Patriarhia din Constantinopol aceasta autocefalie.

Dar suntem in America. Tara in care oamenii ca Domnul Administrator si Nemoianu (cei fara nici o diploma in teologie) … pot invata pe ortodocsi (chiar si pe Patriahii ortodocsi) ce este de fapt “ortodox.” Luati diploma, apoi vorbiti…

Nimeni nu l-a bagat in seama!

4)Verifica canoanele biseriici domnule.

A. Nemoianu, scriitor roman vestit?

Nu poti ignora elefantul in camera.

  10. Thomas Says:

    SCRIITORUL xxx!

  11. Administrator Says:

    Ma Thomas, ai inebunit?

PRAYER OF ST. EPHREM

O Lord and Master of my life,
leave me not with the spirit of laziness,
of despair, of domination, or idle words.

Rather, give me, your servant, the spirit of integrity,
of humility, of patience, and of love.

Thus, Lord, grant me the wisdom to see my own faults,
and not condemn my brother;

for You are blessed, now and forever. Amen.

OUR FATHER

Our Father, who are in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day
our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
